Week 3 MTC & final week

It's officially that time WHOOOO!!! Tuesday morning at 4:30 am I'm off to Chicago and I'm soooo freakin 'excited! But let's back up and see what the last week of the MTC was like.

Monday- Started off good because it was p-day so I got to talk to some of my family. It had a little rocky start because my companion wasn't able to contact her family because her email wasnt working and didn't have a facebook. But we got that all figured out! The rest of the day was super chill, nothing much happened and then we had Sister Carlson's class which was good like always! And that was really it.

Tuesday- Today was FIRE! We got to go to the temple again and this time it was for an endowment session which was so good because instead of it being 2hrs it was only like an hourish! After that we all got sack lunches and ate together in the garden of eden which is so freaking pretty. I'll have to get a picture of it before I head out. Then just lots of study time which was fun because one of my good friends sent me a talk to listen to which was actually really helpful just because I was having a hard week. Then it was dinner which is sooo mid here but also I have to give them the benefit of the doubt because there are like close to 3,000 of us missionaries. And to conclude we had a devotional and somebody from the 70 talked and it was good!

Wednesday- What a rough day this was. Class started and it was good but then we started practicing teaching the restoration which I love doing but today I was already feeling a little off and so after I had finishing teaching I started beating myself up because I know what I just said/taught was not good and so then the rest of the day I was just kinda beating myself up about that. After class we went to lunch and on the way to class I bumped into Sister Cecil/Emma Cecil and I just started balling because I couldn't hold it in lol. But she helped me calm down and moved on with the day. Then Sister Moon and I got ready for our HOA which is just a practice thing. But yeah that was wednesday, the rest of the day we just had class.

Thursday- Okay this one might be long because it was just such a great day overall. Started off good with breakfast in the garden of eden and then we had Brother Skinner's Class which is just fire like always. We practiced teaching baptism and inviting them to get baptized which was really fun to do! Next was lunch and just getting ready for our last HOA! At this HOA I just started talking and getting to know the girl and we were able to connect with our stories and after sharing my testimony with her she started tearing up and I was like oh shoot oops. Next we had a workshop which was good. Sister Bowers and I came up with this awesome handshake we think and it's called the dab sandwich and it's so much fun to do and we've been doing it the last couple days until I leave. Then was dinner which again was sooo mid but after that was fun because my mom sent me a package full of lots of goodies! One of the goodies being chocolate chip cookies and gingersnaps. After that I was able to call my mom and just share a prayer with her because I felt like she needed it and i'm glad I did because it was a cool experience. Then we had class WHICH WAS FIRRRRRE!! So the last past week lots of our elders have been super sick but one of them really didn't want to miss class so he still came and our teacher decided to stop class so that the elders could give him a blessing and it was so touching and honestly made me tear up just because I know how much blessings mean to me and they are just such an amazing thing. Too close for class we had a testimony meeting where we all just shared our testimony and it was literally the best thing ever! After we finished that we just kinda hung around at the garden of eden and just seeing all the elders in my district just kinda reminded me of how much I miss my brothers and how much they have done for me and that I love them so much and I can't wait to see them again! So overall today was a 10/10. Also Sister Bowers is one of my favorite people. She is like the sister that I never got.

Friday- Very very busy day. To start off we had a workshop in the morning about entering the mission field which was actually kinda funny. After that we had a short class with Brother Skinner and then we had lunch and then we went to the temple for the final time in the MTC. This time we got to do sealing to parents which I have never done but it was such a cool experience. We spent like 3hrs at the temple which I loved because that place just brings me so much peace so I invite everyone to try and go this week. Then we had a quick dinner and then we had to zoom over to class. Lets just say that class was very interesting because we all had the giggles so we were just laughing the whole time!

Saturday- Very much a Chill day! In Sister Carlson's class we did just lots of reflecting and conversations as a group which I like. Then we had lunch with Sister Carlson and her soon to be fiance!!!!! It was super fun because we just got to ask them goofy questions. Some of us elders and sisters started talking about our dream weddings and after I shared mine I just started thinking how excited I am to meet my person and to start that part of my life! After that it was just super chill and then we had dinner which was VERY interesting, dinner was buffalo cauliflower and fries but let's just say there was not one thing about buffalo on that plate. It was a very interesting dinner. Some of the sisters got this random sauce with it and it was white and I was like what did they do grab the leftover alfredo sauce from lunch and mixed it with water and said yep this is the sauce lol. We called 0% alfredo sauce ahah. Then it was Brother Skinner's class which was a super good class because we got to play this game where one person stands in the middle and we all just ask super deep spiritual questions. After that we took lots of photos with Skinner. Then Emma came to my room and surprised me with her getting into BYU and we screamed a lot haha oops.

Sunday-Well sunday was certainly a day ahah. Let's just say this week has flown by so fast that Sunday didn't even feel like sunday. We were all very out of it and not really focused. But I was able to write two letters throughout that day which helped me feel the spirit at least a little bit that day. But let me tell you when we got to lunch man this is where it all changed. For lunch it was steak and very weird looking steak but Sister Bowers and I both were talking about how we could devour some ribs right now and as I was saying that I saw someone walked past me with ribs and so we got out of the steak line sooo fast and when we got these ribs I was a little scared but man they were good the meat quite literally fell off the bone and man i'm quite literally speechless and we soooo didn't get two plates ahhaah. But after that was just more devotional stuff and it was good but at this point I just needed my sunday nap hahh.

And that's week 3. Pretty crazy but fun. LOVE YOU ALL!!
