Wild Busy Week!

Such a fun week! So much has happened this week. Sooo that being said lets jump into some things here! But first off if you still havent joined the google photos heres the link!

Monday: Such an interesting p-day. We went to the usps store so I could drop off some packages and man was that line lonnnnng! As we were in line our president called our leadership group chat and asked if someone can come pick up the packages from Napperville which is like an hour an a half away and nobody responded mostly because their district does stuff together. So I signed Sis. Reeder and I up because we had not alot going on anyways. We talked to fam on the way there and on the way back and next thing you know p-day is over. We had a pretty good lesson with two our friends and it was at the church and one thing that was super cool was our friend Jennifer had this bad toothache but when she walked into the church she said it was just gone so that was really cool. Another thing was we had a meeting and we talked about baptism and our mission goal for baptism for the month of December is 100 and we are at 85 and have about 30ish baptisms left!! Tuesday: Christmas Eve!!! Such a good day! I love holidays and so I was in a pretty dang good mood today! We went to the mall today and talked to a lot of people and it was so so fun. We then left and went to tacobell to get a baja blast to mix with the milkis and sister reeder says ive never had mt dew i was like whaaaat! So obviously mader her try and she liked it haha what a surprise. We did some stop bys and then we went to an inactive members house and chatted with them and had cake it was super fun! We then went from one side of our area to the whole opposite side to have dinner with the Sr. sisters which was pretty much thanksgiving pt.2! Also after 4 years of not having mashed potatoes I tried them again and I still in fact cant eat them ahah. Wednsday: Christmas!!! Merry Christmas everyone! Today was such a good day also! We woke up and I called my family to open presents with them it was super fun and I got lots of fun things so shootout to the fam for the gifts and shootout to everyone else who sent me something thank you thank you!! We then had district council so we did that and the Sr. Sisters made us all breakfast so that was fun and super nice! We visited some senior living place and that was really fun, we played games and chatted! Then we zoomed over to our bishops family house where we hung out and ate lots of food! The rest of the night we just kinda talked to fam and that was Christmas, it was super weird not to be home but everyone made it a good Christmas! Oh also side note when I was talking to family sister reeder took down all the Christmas decorations I was like what! Thursday: A meh but good day. We did weekly planning and then did a crap tone of calls which was soo unfortunate ahha. We had some lessons here and there but nothing to much. I decided to make us tacos for dinner so that was fun! After that we did more calls and then met up with our friend Marcel and he took us to olive garden!!! It was soo good but we got home soo late lol oops! Friday: Wow what a day ahah! Sister Reeder went to the temple with all of the other departing missionaries and so I went to Bourbonnais for the day and was companions with Sister carling which she was sick so I sat in their apt doing nothing all day and when I say nothing I mean it! 🙃. So did 12 hours of that and they had no food and so I didn't eat anything all day until I got home then I divowered the rest of olive garden left overs and that was fire! Saturday: This day went by sooo fast! We had DQ with Sister Barnes which is always so fun! We then did some service which was just organizing jewelry so that was fun and after that we had lessons back to back and they all went through it was AMAZING!! We invited two people to be baptized and they said yes!!! At the end of the night we got a text from someone from church saying "Sister Robins are you still good to speak in sacrament tomorrow?" I was like umm what, I do not recall being told about this ahah so thankfully I had some talks already written but it was just really funny. Sunday: TRANSFER NEWS!! Before we get into that we had church this morning which was good and thankfully there was a lot more speakers then just me so that was nice. After church we did 5hours of stop bys and found some pretty cool people it was awesome! When doing these stop bys we went into a whole different time zone which was so sick, its cool to say you have two different time zones in your area! After that we had dinner with the Sr Sisters and it was amazing like always, we had homemade pot pie ans mmmm that was delightful! We then left and had a really good lesson with our friend Dustin and in the middle of the lesson the APS called us to give the transfer news but we weren't able to answer so they called us back like an hour an half later and I am staying here in Hebron and staying an STL which Idk why they want me to but yeah and my companion she's from the Philippines and her name is Sister Surio aka cereal to me ahah! Christmas call

Almost Christmas...

What's up amazing people!! First off MERRY Christmas🎄🎄🎄! Hope yall are doing soo good! Miss you all tons but let's get started with this last week. Oh but of course here's the link if you haven't joined yet which is kinda crazy if you haven't but it's never too late! Monday- P-day + Exchanges!! Today we didn't really do much for p-day, we did lots of shopping well actually I did lots of shopping ahha for Christmas presents, after that just kinda talked to fam the rest of the day until it was time to leave! We had a good lesson with our friend Danielle, we answered a lot of questions about the things we do and do not practice. We then had Exchanges with the Sisters which was so fun! I went with Sister Sanderson in her area and man did we have a party!! We had so much fun because we had a lot in common but also we both have been struggling with our companions so it was so nice to be able to talk to eachother! Tuesday- #Full day in La Port! We woke up and just immediately chatted it up it was so fun! We made some really good breakfast and then got going for the day. Lots of good things happened today and it really felt like a breath of fresh air! Fast forward to dinner we were making tacos and we were trying to heat up tortillas and the stove was on low and I was like what if we just layer them down and flipped them on the stove because the pan just wasn't working so we tried it and once we set that tortilla down boom that thing went into flames ahah oops! But man did we get a good laugh out of that lol. Had a really good lesson and invited one of their friends to be Baptized!! And then we met up with the other Sisters at Twisted Sugar and man that slapped, but it was sad to go back to our companions. Wednesday- What a day. We had cleaning inspections and so we woke up did a little morning miracle and then I got cleaning on the apt because it needed it and that's when this whole day kinda went down hill. As I'm cleaning Sister Reeder is just watching me so I ask politely if she could help clean the apt and she goes oh yeah and then goes and sits down and so shocking that made me kinda annoyed and I ended up cleaning the whole apt which is fine but I clean the apt everyday and it would be nice for help. Anyways the senior Sisters came and looked at our apt and said we probably have the cleanest apt!!! We had lessons here and there and then went to Rensselaer for the Relief society activity which was white elephant and so that was fun and then we had a good lesson with Christina and Charles and their two new babies who are soooo freaking cute!!! And that was today. Thursday- We had weekly planning today which oof that did not go well at all, Sister Reeder and I could not agree on anything so yeah that was rough. We had lots of lessons but the best one was probably us going to a bar for a lesson ahha so that was fun and different! We then had lots of calls but then it started snowing🌨❄️☃️!!!!!!! We had a late night with calls so that was funnn😬👀. Friday-Super fast day! First off we woke up to sooo much snow!!! But anyways we had lunch with Sister Barnes again which is always so fun and good! We then had a service project with one of the new members and we were supposed to help her organize her house but then we just ended up eating pumpkin pie ahha oops! We then had Exchanges with the Hermanas which means Sister Robins becomes a Hermana for the next 24hrs! Saturday- Today was a good day we woke up and it was FREEEEZING but we got moving. We made some pancakes for breakfast which went hard and had hot chocolate which was really good but man that did not sit well. We didn't have a lot going on today and so it was lots of phone calls and studies. I did learn a little bit of Spanish tho ( Hola, nosotras somos las misioneras de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los santos de los ultimos dias.) Which means (Hello, we are missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.) So that was fun to learn and then I got hooked on duolingo. Anyways then Hermana Palomino made really good Peruvian food which was soo good but did not sit well at all. We then exchanged back and we zoomed to a inactive members house for dinner which low-key slapped and we had a party! Sunday- Sabeth edition! Church was good, it was one hour ans we did lots of singing well I did lots of listening when others sung ahah. We had an amazing lesson with our friend Kevin after church and so that was good and then lots of lessons fell through but we did lots of phone calls and stuff like that. We had another good lesson with Christina and Charles and we all just were chatting up a storm! But yeah that's that for you ! Ohhh and we had a super hype accountability with our zone which is when we go over our numbers from the week but it was super fun! Hit a Wall this week!

Hello amazing people! Love you all so so much and hope yall are doing well! This week was fun and then hit a wall at the end📉 . Join the photos if you haven't yet!

Monday- Didn't do a lot for p-day. We kinda just chilled and I talked to fam the whole time so that was fun! We then had exchanges with the Hermanas which means Sister Robins for the next 24hrs is Hermana Robins🤣! Hermana Ellingson is so fun and amazing we chatted all night, shhhh don't say anything but we went to bet at like 1:30am 🤫🤣, it was so worth it tho! Tuesday- First full day of trying to speak Spanish ahah. We did some service for a member and so we got to hangout with the Elders which was fun! We then did lots of phone work and I had lots of meetings bit I learned so Spanish so that was cool and attempted to read scriptures in Spanish and man that was rough ahha! Once the day was pretty much over we exchanged back and Sister Reeder and I had a stake meeting and so we did that the rest of the night and then I hit the bed so early because man was I tired lol oops! Wednesday- Sister Barnes day! We had DQ with Sister Barnes and then we went over to her house and just chatted it up because we didn't have a lot of other things going on so why not! She showed us around her house and showed us all her things and almost everything in her house she has taken from the streets or people's dumpsters 🤣🤣. She is so funny! We did learn that we a 10th cousins and so now everywhere we go she always introduces me as her cousin lol! The rest of the day was stop bys and phone work and had a couple lessons go through! We invited Christina and Charles to be baptized and so they are progressing towards the 4th! Thursday- Whar crazy day!! We had weekly planning which was good. After that we went home for lunch when we got a fun call from Christina and Charles saying they are having their babies and so we zoomed over to the hospital to be there for them and we chatted and had a lesson and just got to know them more which was really fun! There wasn't any sign of babies so we decided to get going with our day. We didn't have a whole lot going on just lots of phone work and then had a Relief Society activity so we went to that which was fun. Friday- ZONE CONFERENCE!!! Such a good day besides how cold it was. We woke up at 5 so we could be out by 6:30ish to be at zone conference on time. We had a good meeting and it was soo fun to be with lots of missionaries and also got to see Sister Hoggard which was the best! After zone conference ended and had lots of good food we stayed at the church for a lonnng time because we had some meetings and other things to do so that was pretty much what the day was made up of! Lots of phone work I did again while Sister Reeder drove. Lowkey wish I was driving so I could have a break but here we are! Saturday- Very meh day ngl. I think today was the day it started just going downhill for me. Not a lot happened today and I'm officially very very mentally drained which is not fun at all. Sunday-No energy Sunday ahah! We had church was good and a couple meetings but other than that we didn't do much. We had a couple lessons and went to the Senior Sisters for dinner and that was soo good they cook good food and so we ate and chatted a lot! But yeah that was that day for yoy ahah! What a week + 5 month mark!

No intro to this email but hope yall had such a good week and did something fun! Again here's your reminder to join thr Google Photos!

MONDAY- P-Day! Today we did our usual things in the morning and then we went to the mall to look at all the stores which was fun! My family is super big on Monopolys and so we had gone in this store and they just had a wall full of so many Monopolys lol it was fun to look at them all. We then met up with our district and we went bowling! And I WON!!!! I never win at bowling because my brother's are really good at it, so it was soo nice to beable to take the W! After p-day ended we just had some lessons which ended up being super good! TUESDAY- Today was a long day... We had MLC(Mission Leadership Council) which we had to get up super early for because we were like 2 hours away. Something we talked about was focusing more on our WHYS as missionaries, which was really cool. We had great discussions. We then had lunch with everyone and I got to see Sister Hoggard with made me soo happy! Shout out to her🫡. Anyways we got talking and I totally broke down with her because this companion ship I'm in is not going so well. We then had our lessons fall through and so it was just a okay day. WEDNESDAY- District council, which meant I did a training which went okay but I should've probably not waited to till the last minute to do it, oops! After District council we zoomed to Chipotle where we were meeting the other Sisters for exchanges and so I got to spend the day with Sister Williams and wow she is the best! It was do fun to actually be with someone you have things in common with! It was a really fun exchange and we were super late to going back to switch ahha oops! THURSDAY- Weekly planning which is mid. And then had very deep convo with Sister Reeder which then ended up with her in tears, uhhh oops! Not a lot happened today besides that honestly, it was a very meh day. But I did hit my 5 Month mark today! FRIDAY- We had zone training but we decided to do it as a devotional instead of a training and that went pretty well! We then had lunch with Sister Barnes which is always a party, she is so funny! Lots of lessons fell through today but the one that went through we had at olive garden which was really fun, we got some free Bread which man that was good lol! SATURDAY- Ward Christmas breakfast party thing? We had a big breakfast this morning with the Ward and that was super fun, lots of good food! The primary then put on a little skit of when Jesus was born and that was super cute! We then had some good lessons today and one of them we invited our friend to be baptized which is sooo cool and he's super excited for that! We then were leaving the mall where we had the lesson and we were handing out our cards and I gave it to someone and he got so excited he thought I was giving him my personal number ahhaa it was really funny. He then multiple times tried to ask me out, he said well God will be okay if you take a break from this what's so called mission lol, it was funny. SUNDAY- We had church in Rensselaer which is our branch that we cover and it is so so small! They had the primary program which did not go well at all but it was good lol. We then had good meetings and a lesson with some new friends that we are teaching and that all went well! After thay we did some stop bys and some phone work and then headed to the Sr. Sisters house for dinner and the Christmas devotional which was so so good! Food Week

Monday- Not a lot happened today. I talked to family majority of the day which was really fun! Once p-day ended we had lots of our lessons fall through (classic) but the one we did have was super spirit filled! After the day ended and I was Journaling the next thing I know I'm falling backwards ahha I was a couple cm off from bashing my head open lol, oops 🤷‍♀️. Tuesday- Sister Barnes day! Every Tuesday we go to Dairy Queen with Sister Barnes who is a member and she is so funny! She will quite literally tell you truth on anything, no filter on her ahah. We went to another members house, a new recent convert and we talked with her with Sister Barnes and the person we visist makes music and let me tell ya it is something for sure... i get my own cd next week! Next we had interviews with our president which was much needed! And the rest of the night was the same old, lots of phone work... lots of lessons falling through Wednesday- Thanksgiving Eve!! Very busy day! We had district council today which was good! It's always nice to be around more missionaries then just your companion. We had a crazy lesson filled day, we had about 12 lessons today, did they all go through maybe, maybe not. One of the funny things that happened today was we were talking with this lady who's never been to Utah and she was like ahh yall our from that polygamist state and we were like mmm no and she was like well your wrong because I know utah and both my companion and I looked at eachother like what ahha. Thursday- Happy Thanksgiving🦃! What a not so busy day ahah. This morning we got to go to a Senior living place for two hours which was really fun, I got them all to laugh a lot which made me happy because I like when people laugh! One of the residents there kept trying to make out with another resident and trying to get her to his room lol it was really funny. After that we did weekly planning and then headed to a member's house (Mathesons) for Thanksgiving dinner and man they had all the food you can think of! It was sooo good! The rest of the day we just kinda chilled in our apt and did lots of phone work because everything was closed. But we did get to talk to fam for a little which was fun! Friday- To start us off for today the highest was 20° which meant it probably felt like 11°. Because today was black Friday we went to the mall and did lots of street contacting. And then again lots of phone work. Saturday- Zone christmas breakfast! This was so so fun!! All of the missionaries in my zone we got together at our stake presidents house for breakfast, for breakfast we had stuffed French toast which was so good and then after breakfast we had a devotional which is always good! Once we got done there we went back and did missionary things which for us means lots of phone work again 🤦‍♀️. But man I was sooo full from breakfast but also just from so much food from the whole week and then Sister Reeder wanted to go to Portillos for dinner since tomorrow is fast Sunday and so by this point my stomach did not like me. Sunday- Fast Sunday! Thank goodness it was fast Sunday ahah. Church went really well we had some friends show up which is good! After church we went to another part of our area that we go to each Sunday and we did lots of stop bys on the way and then phone work. We then had dinner with the Senior Sisters and we had pot roast and that was good. After dinner we played a few rounds of dominoes trains and we all got into it a little more then we should've ahah.
