Blessed Week!

This week was so blessed! First off we are getting soo close to hitting 6 months!! Anywho join the google photos if you haven't yet and enjoy this week ahah

Tuesday: P-day!! We did lots of errands in the morning and got things done so that we could meet with the Elders at the church. At the church I was just goofing around with the basketball and I learned that for some reason I cant shoot the ball facing forward but I can make it facing backwards ahah. It just proves my family right I guess that im a very backwards person ahah! We played monopoly and then all talked to fam. Once p-day was over we had a couple good lessons for the night and man was it FREEZING. Wednesday: Such a good day!! Today it was sister Barnes b-day so I bought her a carrot cake and we went over and spent a lot of time there and of course got DQ aha. After that we went to Rensselaer and had lots of good lessons that were so spirit filled! Funny story though is that we are teaching two friends that both have the name Perez and they live in this small town and we were like dang what are the chances they are family? So of course we did some research and stalking and we found out that we were teaching a father and son ahha, neither of them no which is good. Thursday: Busy busy day, we were running around with our heads off and had lots of planning and lessons. We had a funny lesson with our friend Marcel and he bought us chick-fil-a which was fire of course! We then went and cleaned our car and by the time we got out of the car wash our car had frozen. It was very silly. Friday: Zone Conference!!! Such a good day to start us off I had to bring my mattress to the stake center and so because of that we had to wake up a little earlier so we could shove my mattress in the car and man it did not fit but don't you worry with a little of bending and shoving we made it fit! Anywho when we were walking around the church building I was just wandering around carrying my mattress and everyone was looking at me like what the lol. Once zone conference started it was sooo so good it was definitely things I needed to hear. Fast forward to the end of the day we were at Culvers and we were just doing phone work when one of the workers came up to us and we were scared they were going to kick us out but she didn't and instead she just started talking to us and asked us lots of questions. Saturday: Baptism day!! short story short Christina and Charles got Baptized!!!!!!!!! It was soo good and man it was so so spiritual. Before the baptism we had to fill up the font and when we did it smelled sooooo bad it smelt like rotten eggs we were like this is not good. But thankfully we got it fixed and the baptism went amazing! Sunday: Another very blessed day!! Church was so good today, we had 8 of our friends show up and they all loved it so much and they all stuck around for the second hour and for our other friends' baptism after church! With that being said Henry is BAPTIZED!!!!!!! I love seeing people get baptized. It's such a cool experience and the smile they have after is soo cool!! That's really the week, I'll keep it somewhat short mainly because don't want to add to much detail ahha love you all so so much hope yall have a blessed day 💞

Wild Week!

The first one I sent out please delete that one lol lots of mistakes in that ahah! Whats up amazing people!! First off love you all so so much and appreciate all the encouragement and love! P-day is today because of Martin Luther King Jr. day but hey at least we still get a p-day!! Before we get started with the lonng email don't forget to follow the google photos! Monday- Fun chill p-day, before really doing anything I deeped cleaned the whole apt while Sis. Surio slept. Let me tell you it is so nice to have a clean living place haha. We then met up with our district at Chick-Fil-A and that was fun, the workers were so funny. After lunch we all went back to the church to hangout and I taught another Elder how to shuffle lol its funny that im doing this! We were supposed to have Henrys baptism this week but we decided to push it to the 26th. We then had exchanges with the Sisters and so im with Sister Williams for the next little bit!! Tuesday- Super fast day... we did our usual thing and then I was looking in one of the district group chats when I leared that the hermanas in my zone are leaving and their area is being closed, it was super sad to hear and now theres only 4 sisters in total in this zone. Anyways the day again went by fast we had Sister Barnes pretty much all day which was fun and then we did some street contacting and that was really it before we exchanged back which we had to do early because we had a stake meeting with President so that was fun! Once we got home I made no bake cookies for district council and man were they good! Wednesday- Another fast day! We had district council which was good and afterwards we went to Buffalo wild wings and man that was a party with the district! We were there probably longer than we should have but oh well! After that it was lots of driving and back to back lessons and I love all of our friends and am very grateful to be able to be serving the Lord right now! Made some really pretty wedding invites for Christina & Charles. Thursday- Oopsies day haha, totally did not wake up at the time we were supposed to but you know thats not the point lol. Did the usual weekly planning which was good like always and afterwards we went to the dollar store so that I could get flowers for the wedding and so during lunch I made Christina a flower bouquet to walk down the aisle with! Lots of back to back lessons and they all went through!! Our lest lesson we had was with our bestie Marcel ahah it is hilarious, we were sitting at chick-fil-a doing the lesson when we got free breakfast cards from a worker, it was the best so we decided that we will meet up on Monday to get breakfast! Friday- Wedding Day!!! Before the wedding we had lots of meetings and calls and we were talking with our Facebook mentors and sister surio is so funny she was telling them about my facebook and the videos I made and so most of the call was these elders going through my facebook it was really awkward. After that we did service with the Sr. Sisters and we played bingo at a sr living place and man does it get intense lol. Bingo was a lot of fun but now it was wedding time!!! We got to the church and had a good simple small wedding and it was amazing and lots of members showed up to support!! Saturday- Slow day but good food! We had lunch with members from the Philippines which was so fun and the food was delicious! They gave us a lot of leftovers haha. Something I've been learning a lot on the mission is patience, I thought I had a good amount of patience before the mission but im definitely learning a lot being out on this mission is for sure. Anyway the rest of the day was again calls,stop bys and some lessons here and there. We had our last lesson with a spanish family that just moved in and we had to have one of our members translate everything for us but they were so sweet and I attempted to say the closing prayer in spanish and before I started they called their family from Venneswela and when I got done they all started clapping haha it was super cute! Sunday- VERY COLD AND WINDY DAY!! Its been super cold here lately and when I looked at the weather it was like highest is 6 degrees but feels like -7 which did not feel like that, it felt wayyy colder because of the wind. Anywho church was good we had a friend at church and he pretty much learned almost everything because in sacrament they talked about the word of wisdom and in sunday school we talked about the restoration so we decided to talk to him after church and we invited him to be BAPTIZED!!!! He said yes and so we have 5 friends with a baptism date!!! The rest of the day was good the Sr. Sisters made teriyaki chicken for dinner and man was that good!! Monday- Very interesting day! First off Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day hope yall enjoyed the long weekend! Today was again lots of phone work, all of our lessons fell through today besides Marcel, we did get chick-fil-a which was of course super good! Later that day sister Surio wanted a frosty so we went to Wendy's with our free Wendy's frosty keychain and the worker was sooo ny she wanted to see how high she could get it and so a jr frost turned into a large pretty much ahha. After that we spent hours planning the 3 baptisms we have this week and man was that exhausting. Finally on this mission call we had at night one of the Sr. Elders was talking and was trying to set us sisters up with his son back at home. It was so funny, we were all dying!! Hello amazing people! Love you all so so much and I hope you are doing well. This week really flew by, which means it must have been a good one!

Monday: P-Day!! We did district p-day today which I was so happy because im so sick of just staying in our apt and doing nothing really. It was really fun to hangout with the Elders in my district. We got lunch all together and then we played some games at the church. I tought and Elder and my companion how to shuffle and do a bridge with cards and that was super fun! Shoutout to my family for making me grow up with cards haha! Once p-day was over and we were leaving the church we walked out and it was SNOWING!!! Man was I happy! The rest of the day we just did phone work so nothing to crazy. Tuesday: Such a good day! We obviously had lunch with Sister Barnes and it was so good! We obviously chatted it up. She then told me that she wanted to give me her veggie tales nativity scene which man was I happy, she is literally the best! Lots more calls and lessons the rest of the day, we had a lesson with our friend Henry thats getting baptised actually this Saturday and he is so excited and so are we haha! Sister Surio and I were telling stories from back home and I told her the Mooch Mooch story, which if you know you know but man did that make our day 100% better ahah. Wednesday: District Council/ Interviews with Presdint/ Crazy day! Interviews were something ngl lol. When I went into my interview we talked about a few good things and then next thing I know hes talking about marriage and my future spouse and I was like woah woah woah haha no need to talk about that ahha. Anyway moving along lol, the rest of the day was funny, we had all of our lessons fall through so we decided to do stop bys on the way to Rensselear and we kept loosing service/we had no service majority of the time so we went old school and had to use a map in order for us to get around lol it was fun! We had such an amazing spirit filled lesson with Christina and Charles who are also getting baptised but not until Jan 25th but they are getting married this up coming week so thats exciting! Fast forward to the end of the night when we had a mission meeting and President and Sister Chase told us who our new mission leaders are going to be in July. The new president and wife are the "Woods", they are from Arizona so thats cool but man were we all shock to hear this. Thursday: What a silly day! We had weekly planning which went good and we actually got it all done in a good amount of time. After that we had Sister Barnes again but instead of DQ we went to wendys which was really fun and funny she totally drove over a lot of curbs to get there lol how she is 80ish and still is driving amazes me. Anyway she bought us the frosty keychains for this year which was so nice! We had lessons all over the place and so lots of driving but man it was fun to have good lessons! Later that night we had exchanges with the Hermanas and so we went and switched companionships. For the next 24hrs I will be with Hermana Alvarez who is brand new on the mission but she is so cute and so fun. Friday: Exchange day + A LOT OF SNOW! Today was so fun, Hermana Alvarez is from Columbia and so snow is very new to her but man did we have fun with it. We had a few meetings in the morning and then we had a lesson with our friend Kevin who is a very interesting guy and Hermana was probably scared out of her mind talking to him because hes very much a hatter on things but anyways we then went to Grandma Bev's hous which she then sung us happy birthday multiple times ahha it was really funny! She then helped me plan a wedding and a baptism which was really fun, she did not expect to do that lol. We exchanged back wich was sad, its always fun to do exchanges! Saturday: Super good zone training I thought at least. We talked about faith and putting your mind in a good mindset at the begging of the day and accountability which shoutout to my brother Spencer for kinda giving me the idea for the mindset topic. Anyways that was good and then we had a pass off lesson with some of our elders thats in my district. After that we did some street contacting at walmart which was fun and we met some cool people through that! Sunday: Such a good sunday! We had a lot of amazing friends come to church today and we had also amazing speakers. Right after church we went down to Rensselear and had some lessons here and there and did some stop bys. We took lots of fun pictures on the way to places because the sky was so pretty! We then had dinner with the Sr. Sisters which is always good! We then had a tone of calls tonight but it was okay becuase it was a good fun day! Thats the week for you all! Love you all so so much and I appreciate what yall do! Super Fast week!

Monday: What a P-day for sure. We didnt do much I helped sister Reeder pack her bags and we also got an oil change which took years for who knows why but the rest of the day we just cleaned and chilled. My silly family went skiing/snowboarding all day monday so I didnt get to really talk to any of them. Once p-day ended we had a lesson with our friend Danielle and we invited her to be baptized and she said yessss!!! Side note is I figured out that two of the Elders that were in my Mtc district are in my zone which is fun! Tuesday: Today was a super chill day. We had district council and we ate lots of treates and then went out for lunch so that was fun. Afer that we went and saw Sister Barnes and she insisted we go and get ice cream, which I was like otay!! Super happy that this was my last day with Sister Reeder because shes a great person and all but WOW is she TRUNKY! Which dont blame her but thats how she was all of the transfer so it was hard. Wednesday: Happy New Year! First of all I cant believe its 2025 like ewww.Transfers!! Got up super early and drove to the stake center and when we got there it was a party, there were sooo many missionaries and we all just started chatting it up it was fun! I met my new companion Sister Surio and shes a characte haha but I love her! We were both totally wiped out today so we didnt do much, we unpacked her and had a couple lessons here and there but nothing crazy exciting. Thursday: Today was the day I realized that this transfer might be a little hard. We had a super busy day today and had lessons all day and they actually went through which is AMAZING! But I realised by the end of the day nothing was filled out and I was like oop. So in our area im the driver because Sis. Surio isnt allowed to drive which sucks because now nothing is getting done but # you gotta have patience I guess. Friday: Another Super Super early day. We woke up sooo stinking early and had to get ready to go to the Naperville Stake center again but this time it was for a meeting for the leaders in the mission. I was soo tired and I kept falling a sleep at the wheel ngl but let me tell you Jesus really took the wheel because I was driving in between two semis the whole time and the fact that we didnt die was a miracle haha! But anyways we had a good meeting! After the meeting we had lunch with everyone and we got talking and I started talking to this elder and I learned that he went to Hillcrest a couple months of freshman year and we have so many friends in common and it was wild but he was only there for a little bit before moving to New Zeleand wich literally sooo jealous aahha. But it was super cool to talk to him # Elder Blackburn. Saturday: What a silly day. Today we had a zone training about members participating in lessons which was good. Also if you have missionaries near you reachout to them and ask if they need any help with lessons, all testimonys are amazing! Anywho the whole day all of our lessons fell through which worked out because we ended up setting up a tv for someone that was previously taught by missionaries! If you want the whole story check out google photos ahah. But yeah didnt do much besides set up two tvs for two different people lol it was funny. But hey you can now call me a pro tv setter upper! Sunday: What a rough day. We woke up and Sister Surio was not feeling well. We ended up going to church which was super good and had lots of friends come but after that we went home and sister Surio slept the rest of the day. So what did I do I read some things,took a nap,made bananna bread (Sorry mom but it was good) and that was really the day aha. Not a whole lot. Love you all soo so much and I hope yall had a good New Years and heres to 1 more year in the mission, 2026 here we come!!
