Welp i'm officially done with my first and last week of home MTC!!! Thank goodness is all I gotta say. But being honest I will admit that it has been super fun and I've gotten so lucky with my district, they are a blast! Also I have one of the best companions ever, we talk a lot about our personal lives and sometimes forget that we are supposed to be doing companion study but we both decided that's for the Provo MTC and that it's okay for us to get to know each other more and do that later haha.
Day 1: Got set apart and continued with a normal sunday just like every week but this time I had a tag so that was cool.
Day 2: First day of mtc but it was p-day so it didn't really seem like anything changed until I had one class at night. So before that I ran some errands which was kinda funny because my brother and I went to smiths and their electricity went out so something i never thought I would do was grocery show with a flash light haha. But other than that it was super fun and a good class.
Day 3: Missionary life actually begins, having to wake up at the butt crack of dawn I think but its actually only 6:30 which I guess is normal to others which is crazy. Had 8 hours of zoom calls that day and every day after that which let me just tell you is rough.
Day 4: Had our first practice of teaching a person which was crazy because it's only day 4 like ummm hello. But it went well for being our first ever teaching and we got really good feedback about it. Overall it was a 10/10 day!
Day 5: What a crazy day it was. I was constantly busy with meetings all day which were back to back which sucks especially over zoom. But after a lot of calls I was able to get an hour to go to the mall with my brother and it was really interesting to see people with my tag on because people I didn't know would just come up to me and start talking which is fun. And to finish off the night we had Ribs and all I can say is HALLELUJAH!!!!
Day 6: Pretty laid back had some meetings in the morning like always and then went to Melanies and had DELICIOUS food like always. Then my mom and I went grocery shopping which was chaotic because I had to be in class in 15 min and we were not going to be done in time so I did class in the car.
Day 7: PARKERS WEDDING!!!! Man this was an amazing day because I got to leave class early and go to my cousins sealing which was absolute fire. I love sealings so much, it always makes me tear up just seeing people find their person in life. I'm always thinking when is it going to be my turn but I can tell you that it's not going to be anytime soon I know that for a fact lol. Then I hung out with family until I had my next class but after that I got soooo much food from the reception. My companion and I came up with something that we thought was funny and it was " You like Lord of the Rings, well forget rings focus on the Lord."
Day 8: SUNDAY! Man, I love Sundays ahaha. Church was good like always, we had really good speakers and great music. After church we went back to Melanies and hung out with the whole family all day which I love so freaking much kinda sad that i'm leaving them but it's been a party! And yeah that was sunday.
Day 9: P-DAY!!!! Well we made it through home Mtc which is wild but thank goodness its over. Today is still going on but I so far have done some pre packing and had a little workshop and then my Dad surprised me, which holy cow im still processing but I'm so happy hes here so we are just all hanging out and then I have class tn and that is a wrap of my first week of mtc!!
P.S.- Sorry this email is long. I hate that it's so long but hopefully the next ones are shorter, rip everyone that has to read this but you also did sign up for my emails which is always a risk lol. Love you all so much tho!
