Week 3 MTC & final week

It's officially that time WHOOOO!!! Tuesday morning at 4:30 am I'm off to Chicago and I'm soooo freakin 'excited! But let's back up and see what the last week of the MTC was like.

Monday- Started off good because it was p-day so I got to talk to some of my family. It had a little rocky start because my companion wasn't able to contact her family because her email wasnt working and didn't have a facebook. But we got that all figured out! The rest of the day was super chill, nothing much happened and then we had Sister Carlson's class which was good like always! And that was really it.

Tuesday- Today was FIRE! We got to go to the temple again and this time it was for an endowment session which was so good because instead of it being 2hrs it was only like an hourish! After that we all got sack lunches and ate together in the garden of eden which is so freaking pretty. I'll have to get a picture of it before I head out. Then just lots of study time which was fun because one of my good friends sent me a talk to listen to which was actually really helpful just because I was having a hard week. Then it was dinner which is sooo mid here but also I have to give them the benefit of the doubt because there are like close to 3,000 of us missionaries. And to conclude we had a devotional and somebody from the 70 talked and it was good!

Wednesday- What a rough day this was. Class started and it was good but then we started practicing teaching the restoration which I love doing but today I was already feeling a little off and so after I had finishing teaching I started beating myself up because I know what I just said/taught was not good and so then the rest of the day I was just kinda beating myself up about that. After class we went to lunch and on the way to class I bumped into Sister Cecil/Emma Cecil and I just started balling because I couldn't hold it in lol. But she helped me calm down and moved on with the day. Then Sister Moon and I got ready for our HOA which is just a practice thing. But yeah that was wednesday, the rest of the day we just had class.

Thursday- Okay this one might be long because it was just such a great day overall. Started off good with breakfast in the garden of eden and then we had Brother Skinner's Class which is just fire like always. We practiced teaching baptism and inviting them to get baptized which was really fun to do! Next was lunch and just getting ready for our last HOA! At this HOA I just started talking and getting to know the girl and we were able to connect with our stories and after sharing my testimony with her she started tearing up and I was like oh shoot oops. Next we had a workshop which was good. Sister Bowers and I came up with this awesome handshake we think and it's called the dab sandwich and it's so much fun to do and we've been doing it the last couple days until I leave. Then was dinner which again was sooo mid but after that was fun because my mom sent me a package full of lots of goodies! One of the goodies being chocolate chip cookies and gingersnaps. After that I was able to call my mom and just share a prayer with her because I felt like she needed it and i'm glad I did because it was a cool experience. Then we had class WHICH WAS FIRRRRRE!! So the last past week lots of our elders have been super sick but one of them really didn't want to miss class so he still came and our teacher decided to stop class so that the elders could give him a blessing and it was so touching and honestly made me tear up just because I know how much blessings mean to me and they are just such an amazing thing. Too close for class we had a testimony meeting where we all just shared our testimony and it was literally the best thing ever! After we finished that we just kinda hung around at the garden of eden and just seeing all the elders in my district just kinda reminded me of how much I miss my brothers and how much they have done for me and that I love them so much and I can't wait to see them again! So overall today was a 10/10. Also Sister Bowers is one of my favorite people. She is like the sister that I never got.

Friday- Very very busy day. To start off we had a workshop in the morning about entering the mission field which was actually kinda funny. After that we had a short class with Brother Skinner and then we had lunch and then we went to the temple for the final time in the MTC. This time we got to do sealing to parents which I have never done but it was such a cool experience. We spent like 3hrs at the temple which I loved because that place just brings me so much peace so I invite everyone to try and go this week. Then we had a quick dinner and then we had to zoom over to class. Lets just say that class was very interesting because we all had the giggles so we were just laughing the whole time!

Saturday- Very much a Chill day! In Sister Carlson's class we did just lots of reflecting and conversations as a group which I like. Then we had lunch with Sister Carlson and her soon to be fiance!!!!! It was super fun because we just got to ask them goofy questions. Some of us elders and sisters started talking about our dream weddings and after I shared mine I just started thinking how excited I am to meet my person and to start that part of my life! After that it was just super chill and then we had dinner which was VERY interesting, dinner was buffalo cauliflower and fries but let's just say there was not one thing about buffalo on that plate. It was a very interesting dinner. Some of the sisters got this random sauce with it and it was white and I was like what did they do grab the leftover alfredo sauce from lunch and mixed it with water and said yep this is the sauce lol. We called 0% alfredo sauce ahah. Then it was Brother Skinner's class which was a super good class because we got to play this game where one person stands in the middle and we all just ask super deep spiritual questions. After that we took lots of photos with Skinner. Then Emma came to my room and surprised me with her getting into BYU and we screamed a lot haha oops.

Sunday-Well sunday was certainly a day ahah. Let's just say this week has flown by so fast that Sunday didn't even feel like sunday. We were all very out of it and not really focused. But I was able to write two letters throughout that day which helped me feel the spirit at least a little bit that day. But let me tell you when we got to lunch man this is where it all changed. For lunch it was steak and very weird looking steak but Sister Bowers and I both were talking about how we could devour some ribs right now and as I was saying that I saw someone walked past me with ribs and so we got out of the steak line sooo fast and when we got these ribs I was a little scared but man they were good the meat quite literally fell off the bone and man i'm quite literally speechless and we soooo didn't get two plates ahhaah. But after that was just more devotional stuff and it was good but at this point I just needed my sunday nap hahh.

And that's week 3. Pretty crazy but fun. LOVE YOU ALL!!

2nd week of mtc

OHHHHHH Hello everyone! This weeks email is going to hopefully be nice and short like I promised most of you.

Monday- Was p-day and so I did lots of packing so that I could have all tuesday to hangout with my family and not have to worry about everything else. My dad surprised me which was crazy becuase he was just in town and to come back a week later was just wow ahah. Anyways that was super fun to see him again. We ended up playing some games and then having really good Beef and Broccolie for dinner. And then I had class which was soooo funny because we all just had the nightly giggles.

Tuesday- Alright today was travel day so I had no classes so lots of repaking in the morning. Then Maggie and Drew surprised me and that was EPIC! I deffintly miss them all. Then majority of my family was together that night just watching the three stooges which is just such a classic in our family and so that was super fun to have one last good night with them. Unfortantly tanner and theresa werent there because they are big nerds ahah, jk love you guys.

Wednesday- PROVO MTC TIME!! The day has officially came and wow is all I gotta say tbh. It was a super fun chaotic day. We went to Chomburger in Provo which I highly reccomend and then we dropped me off which was really sad and then my life started. Lots of check in things and showing around and just the typical orreintation things. We had dinner which is alright deffintly not the best but the best part was running into Sister Cecil/emma cecil at dinner. Then it was the first night and HOLY COW these beds are not comy. Lets just say my sleep that night was rough.

Thursday- Today was just like all of the other days in home mtc and they are like this the next week in a half is just wake up, breakfast, class(which by the way my teacher is lowkey kinda cute buttttttttttt not the point) anyways after class is lunch and then free time/study time and sometimes workshops and then to finish off the night is class and then that repeats everyday usually. So nothing to special happend today.

Friday- Temple Trip!! Today was by far one of my favorite days. We were able to go to the temple and do initiatorys and baptisms which was lowkey so fire and so much fun. I forget how much I like doing baptisms I thiink the last time I did one was in March which is crazy. So the temple was fire and then we had lunch and workshops and class after that.

Saturday- Pretty chill in the morning we got ready and then grabbed this on the go breakfast and ate that while doing our studies outside and so that was fire. We had class outside both morning and night which was a party because being stuck in a class room all day lowkey sucks but its nice because my district is lowkey the best and super funny.

Sunday- One of the best sundays I have ever had. It was fun we had relief society in the morning and that was cool because we got to teach the lesson for a little bit. Then was sacrement meeting and wow it was so peacful and amazing! They had a musical number by some of the missionarys that are leaving and they sung We"ll Bring The World His Trush and it was way cool because they sung it in french and a different language and for the third verse we sung it all together which was so powerfull and in a part when it says " And we will be the lords missionarys" somebody had shouted saying " And we are NOW the lords missionarys." That just kinda hit everyone deep because its like holy cow you are so right. Anyways after that and for the rest of the night we had the devotional thing called Go and Do and so that was really fun and Emma and I keep bumping into eachother which is the best  because it makes tthings feel a little at home.

Anyways that is my week and I would love to hear from you guys! Love you all so so much!

First Week in MTC

Welp i'm officially done with my first and last week of home MTC!!! Thank goodness is all I gotta say. But being honest I will admit that it has been super fun and I've gotten so lucky with my district, they are a blast! Also I have one of the best companions ever, we talk a lot about our personal lives and sometimes forget that we are supposed to be doing companion study but we both decided that's for the Provo MTC and that it's okay for us to get to know each other more and do that later haha.

Day 1: Got set apart and continued with a normal sunday just like every week but this time I had a tag so that was cool.

Day 2: First day of mtc but it was p-day so it didn't really seem like anything changed until I had one class at night. So before that I ran some errands which was kinda funny because my brother and I went to smiths and their electricity went out so something i never thought I would do was grocery show with a flash light haha. But other than that it was super fun and a good class.

Day 3: Missionary life actually begins, having to wake up at the butt crack of dawn I think but its actually only 6:30 which I guess is normal to others which is crazy. Had 8 hours of zoom calls that day and every day after that which let me just tell you is rough.

Day 4: Had our first practice of teaching a person which was crazy because it's only day 4 like ummm hello. But it went well for being our first ever teaching and we got really good feedback about it. Overall it was a 10/10 day!

Day 5: What a crazy day it was. I was constantly busy with meetings all day which were back to back which sucks especially over zoom. But after a lot of calls I was able to get an hour to go to the mall with my brother and it was really interesting to see people with my tag on because people I didn't know would just come up to me and start talking which is fun. And to finish off the night we had Ribs and all I can say is HALLELUJAH!!!!

Day 6: Pretty laid back had some meetings in the morning like always and then went to Melanies and had DELICIOUS food like always. Then my mom and I went grocery shopping which was chaotic because I had to be in class in 15 min and we were not going to be done in time so I did class in the car.

Day 7: PARKERS WEDDING!!!! Man this was an amazing day because I got to leave class early and go to my cousins sealing which was absolute fire. I love sealings so much, it always makes me tear up just seeing people find their person in life. I'm always thinking when is it going to be my turn but I can tell you that it's not going to be anytime soon I know that for a fact lol. Then I hung out with family until I had my next class but after that I got soooo much food from the reception. My companion and I came up with something that we thought was funny and it was " You like Lord of the Rings, well forget rings focus on the Lord."

Day 8: SUNDAY! Man, I love Sundays ahaha. Church was good like always, we had really good speakers and great music. After church we went back to Melanies and hung out with the whole family all day which I love so freaking much kinda sad that i'm leaving them but it's been a party! And yeah that was sunday.

Day 9: P-DAY!!!! Well we made it through home Mtc which is wild but thank goodness its over. Today is still going on but I so far have done some pre packing and had a little workshop and then my Dad surprised me, which holy cow im still processing but I'm so happy hes here so we are just all hanging out and then I have class tn and that is a wrap of my first week of mtc!!

P.S.- Sorry this email is long. I hate that it's so long but hopefully the next ones are shorter, rip everyone that has to read this but you also did sign up for my emails which is always a risk lol. Love you all so much tho!
