What a week needles to say.

Today was Sister Hoggards and I last p-day together and so we decided to have some fun with it! We went to a store called 10 thousand villages which was super cute! We then went back to our old apt to say hi to our friend the garbage man because we came friends with him over the time and we gave him a Book of Mormon and he was soo excited! After that we got some BWW and had a picnic in our apt since it was raining. Other than that it was lots of talking to fam also! Tuesday: We had our last district council WHOOO! But anyways after District council we went to a restaurant called Soul tacos which is a Korean/Mexican place it was SOOOO good! The rest of the day we just said our goodbyes to everyone which a lot of our friends were not happy. The rest of the day was doing that and just getting everything ready for the Elders that were coming into the area. Wednesday: TRANSFER Day! Woke up at 5 so we could get out the door on time and make sure we are fully packed. It felt like we were moving all new apt again which technically we were but just not with eachother. We got to the church and man it was crazyy!!! Their were soo many missionaries there ahah. But yeah got my new companion Sister Reeder. We headed out for the day but after that not a lot happened. It was a very chill day and only had one lesson because the rest fell through. Thursday: SNOW❄️!!! We woke up to snow and I've never been happier!!!!! The snow definitely helped and made the day so so fun! We went to this cute Cafe for weekly planning and then on the way home I stopped to make a snow angel ahha it was the best! We then had lots of phone work which was not fun at all and then had a tone of leadership calls. Friday: Slow and fast day ahah! We had to be out the door at 8:30 so Sister Reeder could make it to a meeting. We did lots of stop bys because majority of our lessons fell through again, I've never had this many lessons fall through so it's very interesting. We stopped by one of the inactive members (Grandma Bev) and we talked to her for a little and then she started singing happy birthday to me lol it was really funny! Saturday: First Zone training that we gave as Sister Training Leaders and it actually went super well lol idk how but it did. We then had another stop bye day and phone work day. We did have a lesson with a member and man she talked for like 40 minutes straight at like 100mph it was wild! But besides that not a lot happened. Sunday: Interesting day... we had church which was good and the ward is sooo small but somebody in the ward actually lived really close to my family so that was cool to talk about and then he invited us to Thanksgiving!! I will say i do miss my old area a lot but you know it's okay you gotta move on agha. We then did lots of driving and joined over zoom for two of mine Sister Hoggards friends baptism and they went sooo well and it was literally AMAZING! The rest of the night was definitely a little harder for me because of somethings with my new companion... definitely miss Sister Hoggard A LOT!! Anyways that's the week for you ahha! Sorry it's a lot. Also Hebron Indiana is sooooo empty lol there is a lot of nothing here ahahh! Love you all so much!💕

Crazy Week

Monday- P-day! Super chill day, we went shopping for some clothes because it's starting to get cold here. And then after that we met up with our Elders and went to see thr Home Alone house and then played some games at the church. Because we aren't allowed to give the Elders rides it was funny because they were following our car and all you see in the mirrors is a ton of white shirt Elders riding as fast as they can lol it was funny. Tuesday- 3 MONTH MARK! Super rainy day but it was a lot of fun! We had lunch with a member which was really good and then we had some lessons and one of the lessons we had a member participate and let's just say it did not go as planned lol. Wednesday- The start of my sickness lol. But we had a last minute exchange which I wasn't in the mood for but oh well it turned out good and Sister Pettit is so fun! We ended up just talking the whole time we were together, but it was a really chill exchange, it wasn't very long. But before that we had district council and I did my first training with that and it went surprisingly well. But anyways it was fun to be on a bike instead of a car constantly.

Thursday- We exchanged back at the Wrigley Field and so ofc we had to take pictures ahah. Hopefully one day I'll be able to actually go see a game there. After that we had weekly planning like always and then we had lunch with Pat which is always so so fun! We helped her move some bookshelfs and as we were heading out she gave us some things to go and then randomly gave us a brand new can of whip cream lol it was funny! The rest of the day was also good! We had lots of good lessons and one of our friends really wants to go to the temple so that's our goal is to get him to the temple! Friday- Still sick/ loosing my voice. Had a crazy busy day and had lots and lots of lessons! We went to North Western today and that was really fun, we talked to so many people. Saturday- Did service at Maggie's and by this day my voice was totally gone and when I did try to speak it sounded soo dumb ahah. But not really a lot happened, Sister Hoggard taught all the lessons because I just couldn't speak which I HATED lol! Sunday- SUPPPPPPLER GOOD DAY!!!! 3 things, 1st thing was that it was the primary program today in both wards and it was absolutely amazing like always! 2nd thing we skipped second hour of second ward so I could get some rest because I was talking all day with no voice ahah. 3rd thing NATE GOT BAPTIZED!!!! Such a cool experience to help someone from the start to make this covenant and to see the glow that he had after the confirmation was CRAZY COOL!! Monday-Happy veterans day! Today we had our last mentor meeting and it was really sad and Sister Balch is literally amazing! Tears were definitely shed lol. After that Sister Hoggard decided I was not well at all so we went back into the apt where I just slept all day which helped a little but I'm still soo out of it which sucks. I did push myself to get out of the apt for the last 4 hours of the day, which was probably not the best idea but oh well! Anyway that is the week for you! It went by super fast and started off good but then went down hill lol. Love each and everyone of you!!

Friday: P-day!! After a week and a half without a p-day we finally had it! Today we went to the Temple, reason why p-day was on a Friday. Anyways it was sooo nice to go to the temple again definitely miss doing that whenever. The rest of Friday we just kinda hung around but it was a much needed day. We also got panda for dinner which was fire! Saturday: What a day ahah. We did service in the morning but then after we had lunch with members at this Mexican restaurant and OH MY GOODNESS🤤🤤, it was soooo good! Mexican food can either be done right or very wrong and this was done very right! After that we had lots of lessons and stop bys and it all was a good day! Sunday: Fall back! Thank goodness for fall back because it was soo nice to get an extra hour of sleep lol. But anyways Sunday was good, we got to help out with the primary program which was a party! After church we didn't have a lot going on so we did phone work and some stop bys the whole day but the weirdest thing was that it got dark at 4:30 which was kinda rough buy guess we gotta get use to it ahha. VERY LONNNNNNG WEEK IN A HALF!

Apologies ahead of time for this long email that you are about to read. But a lot has happened the last week and a half and so definitely stick around a read aha. But again don't forget to join the google photos! MONDAY: P-Day! Super weird p-day. Most of the day we had to do car things for our broken but still working van aha. After doing that all morning we went to the church in downtown Chicago to play games with our elders and just hang around. We played lots of basketball and volleyball and then destroyed the elders and my companion in cards so that was really fun! After p-day ended w

e didn't really have a lot of lessons we did do lots of phone work. TUESDAY: Today was a really weird but good day. We had exchanges with the new head sisters in our zone and so we switched companions in the early afternoon. I was leading my area and so Sister Thomas came and she is super nice and REALLY connected to the spirit, it's honestly kinda crazy how intune she is with it. But if you know me I'm REALLY bad with silence and Sister Thomas loves silence and also doesn't really have any emotions. I would make things funny but I guess she didn't think it was, what can you do. We did have a super good finding day and found 3 amazing new friends! And that was really the day, it was definitely lots of running around and a lot of phone work which ngl is not my favorite but we always end up doing. WEDNESDAY: We had district council today and so we switched back to our companions which was nice that we didn't have to do a full exchange with the sisters. After district council we had lunch with a member and they made homemade bread which was SOOO good! They lived right by North Western University so we ended up going over there and talked to everyone we saw. My favorite thing from that was I was trying to talk to this guy but he was like sorry I have to go to class and I was like no worries we can walk and talk and so Sister Hoggard and I basically walked him to class lol, he was really confused. Fast Forward towards the end of the day, we had a lesson with our friend Nate who is getting baptized on the 10th and he is amazing and is sooo ready so that will be such an exciting week! THURSDAY: Weekly Planning! After weekly planning we had lunch with Pat!! Pat is literally the best! We had pizza for lunch and then I ended up talking about how I inherited my grandma's dolls and then Pat was like I bet I have similar dolls and she showed us her treasure chest full of dolls which was really cool. We then had lots of lessons throughout the day that all went supper supper well and all of our friends were so amazing and what's cool is that the wards are starting to notice a change which is sick! Anyways we had a little free time and so we got to come to the rec center and cheer on one of the members in our ward that does ice skating. While we were watching her this lady by us started talking to us and asked if we were lds and we were like yess, we are missionaries and it was so cute she was like OH MY GOODNESS!! She was like I didn't even see yalls tags I just could tell there was something different about you and so that was wayyy cool and so we talked to her some more and I guess she is a member of the church and she feeds the missionaries all the time. Unfortunately she was just visiting in our area but she lives in downtown Chicago and so it was really cool to get to know her and her grandchildren. FRIDAY: Another fun and busy day! We again had sooo many lessons and of course that was amazing. The best lesson was with our friend Miriam. Miriam has been slowly working towards baptism but hasn't ever committed until today when she surprised us and said that she was ready and that she really wants to be part of this church! We were soooo happy sister hoggard and I both started tearing up because of how far she has come and for her to make this decision on her own was awesome. We set up a day for her to get baptized and she was saying December and we were like woah woah why not sooner and she said you are right and so now she is getting baptized the 17th AHHHHHHH! After that we were so happy so we decided to celebrate and go to Trader Joes and get chocolate peanut butter pretzels which are quite literally my favorite things from trader joes. Anyways after that the rest of the day was amazing! Also a funny moment during today was we were talking to one of our other friends and I don't know where my filter went but I totally called him out for being in a pride cycle lol oops! SATURDAY: Ward Halloween party pt.2! Before the ward party we had just a normal missionary day, get up, get ready/workout, study, phone calls and lessons and so on and so forth and it was again another good day. But the ward party was so much fun! Instead of doing a trunk or treat outside they do it inside and have people decorate tables and so it was so cool to see what everyone came up with. My favorite one was the Kamaes because their theme was mario and so the brought a mario cart to the party which was fun but unfortunately we didn't play it. For dinner we had baked potatoes which reminded me of my ma and so I had to make sure to take a picture of it for her! After the party we went back to lots of lessons and phone work. SUNDAY: Church was AMAZINNNG!!!! We had so many of our friends show up to church and that was just the best and we also had good lessons in relief society. Fast forward to dinner time because not really a lot happened during the day but we had dinner with the Tanners and they are so funny and they also have such cute kids. For dinner we had homemade sourdough bread which was sooo good and we also had chicken noodle soup which honestly those two things for Sunday was the best because it was a very cold fall day and so warm soup and bread was just the best thing ever! MONDAY: Not p-day haha. Because we didn't have p-day today we just kept doing our thing and had lessons and calls with people but it was super weird because there was like nobody out and about on monday and nobody was answering their phones so it was very strange needless to say. Not a lot happened so this day we will keep it short ahah. Monday night though we did start packing up our apt because we had to start getting things put together for when we move out to our new apt on wednesday. TUESDAY: Tuesday was another chill day we had a kinda member meal lol. A member ordered us food from this really healthy nice food place and had us just pick it up and so we got it and went to the park and just hung out for lunch and so it was really fun to get free food but also kinda defeated the purpose of the member meal. Again not really a lot happened today. Any spare moment we had we were just trying to constantly pack and get things ready for tomorrow because we had no time to pack the next day. WEDNESDAY: CRAZYYYY DAY!! We woke up at 5 in the morning because we had to make sure everything was packed and cleaned and we also had a zone conference today which meant we were picking some sisters up to take them to the church. We got to zone conference and all of us Sisters and Hermanas practiced a song to sing for zone conference. So we did that and then zone conference started and it was amazing like always, I was able to take a lot from it. After zone conference ended we zoomed to our apt to change and to do any last minute things before our elders got there to help us move. We thought moving wasn't going to take long and so we scheduled lessons to do that night which let me tell you they did not go through, oops. This whole day was super fun because in my district we aren't really unified and so this was a good bonding time for all of us and to get to know each other more! The only downfall of moving though was that the housing coordinator saw all of our furniture and he was like sooo you sisters cant have any of this so basically we have no furniture now in our apt which kinda sucks and there is sooo much empty space now. The saddest thing was that they took our chess table and I was like noooooo. Anyways after moving into the new apt which is really nice ngl we all went over to Culvers and we had dinner all together which was fun and that was pretty much the day. THURSDAY: Okay last day and then that's it haha well until my next email on monday ahah. Anyways, Thursday went by so fast. I'm not really sure what happened besides some lessons which were interesting because we were talking about the law of chastity to grown men but we did really good at keeping it professional but still very awkward conversation to have with a 45 year old man and two 19 year old girls. That was really the day was lots of teaching of the law of chastity to lots of people and then lots of un-packing. That is the end of the email now. Again so sorry for it being so long, there was just so much to cover ahah. Love you all soo soo much!! Favorite thing that I took from zone conference was 1: Don't put a lid on your friends. Their conversion doesn't just end at baptism and we also talked about our own conversion and how theirs does not ever end so I thought that was cool!
